Founded in 2007 by Frederic Remi (CEO) & Christophe Dupas (MD), France-based Amossys is a cyber security consultancy, recognized as one of the leaders in evaluating cyber-security products for public sector clients; some 100 organizations rely on Amossys’s expertise, including mission-critical ones like aerospace & defence. The startup was the first independent evaluator to be certified by the ANSSI (the French national agency for the security of information systems) & qualified to carry out security evaluations as part of the CSPN (First Level Security Certification). The firm also advises on eIDAS, an EU-led cross-border electronic ID programme. The beating drum of Amossys is its R&D department, consisting of highly qualified staff & a top-notch testing lab located in Rennes (a major cybersecurity hub). For (its acquirer) Almond, supported by APAX Partners since 2021, this operation opens the door to public sector clients (with the firm to date, mainly focused on the private sector). The combined group will total 400 experts & generate about €60m revenue this year (Amossys accounts for 60 experts & €6m in revenue). Deal terms have not been disclosed (but rumored to be “significant”). <Source: cloud7.news, tech.eu, zdnet.fr, incyber.org>
