Perceptual Robotics uses drones & AI for autonomous (in-depth) wind turbine inspection “4x faster & 15% more accurate” than traditional (i.e. human expert) solutions. Otherwise put, the company’s “Dhalion” drone collects high-quality data (from turbines in >20 minutes), while quickly analyzing it with AI. The solution is said to increase safety during inspections, as well as cost-effectiveness & reducing turbine downtime (for wind farm operators). Perceptual Robotics was founded in 2016 by Kostas Karachalios (CEO) & Dimitris Nikolaidis (COO) as a spin-off from the Bristol Robotics Laboratory. The startup is headquartered in the UK, with a European base in Athens as well as offices in Spain & France. Intrigued?
