Founded in 2017 by Daniel Stofan (CEO) & Lukas Hruby (CTO), UK & Czech Republic-based GoodVision helps modern cities respond to traffic challenges. The startups main product, “GoodVision Video Insights”, is a SaaS “traffic analytics” platform, which automates traffic data collection (from existing camera infrastructure) for traffic (model) calibration. Using the platform can save traffic modelers up to 95% of time. According to the founders, “in the past, traffic data was collected manually by humans on the road or single-purpose sensors, & transport analytics was done with pen & paper. GoodVision is the place where all related parties can work together on their projects & have most of their work tasks automated”. GoodVision already claim customers in 80 countries (across 6 continents) e.g. the startup provided solutions to monitor traffic in the Czech Republic, detect traffic violations in Brazil, analyze traffic on freeways in Minnesota & covered the Danish stage of the Tour de France. Its wroth noting that the global traffic management market is expected to grow from $38bn in 2022 to $69bn by 2027. The new funding will go towards establishing a subsidiary in Hungary & expanding the capacity of the firm’s development center in Czech Republic. Moreover, GoodVision will take a closer look at traffic safety, gathering info on risky driving behavior & areas with a higher probability of accidents, which will allow preventive steps to be taken. <Source: ain.capital, therecursive.com>
