Germany-based, Green Fusion develops a cloud-based “energy manager” “for the intelligent control of heat, electricity & e-mobility”. The startup’s focus is on hybrid heating systems (in buildings) such as heat pumps, solar thermal systems or gas boilers & the coupling to photovoltaic systems & e-charging columns. The energy manager also allows existing systems to be operated more efficiently through visualization & remote control. Moreover, the AI learns to increase system efficiency & prevent outages with predictive maintenance. To install Green Fusion, a communication module is (retro)fitted on the heating system, thereafter, customers are charged €20-45/ month/ heating system. The firm also works with b2b clients/ property companies directly e.g. WSL Leipizig & Gewobag, as well as through partners e.g. GETEC. <200 systems have been fitted to date, on avg. reducing energy consumption by 20% & maintenance/ fault clearance by 50%. Green Fusion was founded in 2019 by Simon Wagenknecht (Chief Automation Engineer) & Matteo Zappulla (Chief of Product), joined shortly thereafter by Paul Hock (co-CEO) & Nina Germanus (co-CEO), & today employs 20 people in Berlin. The funding will be used to further develop the energy management software & DACH expansion. <Source: brandenburg-kapital.de, fundscene.com, deutsche-startups.de>
