Netherlands-based, Park ‘n Charge is quickly rolling out a network of charging stations in the country “we install them, take care of the maintenance & exploitation”. The startup already boasts a network of 6,000 charging points, which it aims to double by 2024 “we can install over 75 charging stations per week week”. To do so, the firm has a team of 25 people & also partners with ecotap. Keep in mind, for the Netherlands to align with the United Nations 2030 Agenda, 2m charging stations are needed; a quarter will be in public places, which is the focus of Park ‘n Charge. For those public chargers, permits are required “which can easily take 6 months, whilst a charging station can be installed in a day, that has to change”. The funding is split into €10m of “growth financing” to install new charging stations, whilst €6.4m will go towards refinancing existing loans. Will industry peer Fastned notice?
