France-based, Hyperplan develops a crop monitoring platform, which uses satellite imaging to recognize plant maturity (2-4 months before harvest, depending on the crop), project ensuing volume (with the addition of meteorological data) & control start/ duration of the harvesting progress incl. e.g. identifying capacity risks in the supply chain (collection points, silos or processing facilities). The software also optimizes allocation of resources for operational (e.g. maintenance CAPEX) & strategic investments (e.g. supply chain overhaul, “sector farming”). The expected benefit of using Hyperlan is €2-4 per ton of raw agricultural product collected, through (among other) the reduction of product losses/ quality degradation by 10-15%. Hyperplan already monitors 25m hectares of agricultural production in France, for clients incl. Vivescia (grain cooperative) & Corteva Agriscience (global agricultural seed & chemical company). Hyperplan was founded in 2021 by Ruben Sabah (CEO), Jean-Baptiste Kopecky (CTO) & Victor Lamendin (VP Product). The new funding will be used to deploy “across Europe by the end of Q1 2023” & expand (beyond various vegetables) the technology “to monitor sugar & root crops as well as vineyards”. <Source: frenchweb.fr, sifted.eu, igronews.com>
