Founded in 2019 by Sai Lakshmi (CEO), UK-based Caura is developing an all-in-one car admin platform. First launched in 2020, the Caura iOS & Android app aims to remove many of the pain points from vehicle ownership. The app currently offers two products: i) “Caura Protect” partners with a range of insurers to manage vehicle & driver insurance (the roadmap potentially includes car maintenance & loans), ii) “Caura Drive” manages payment of various charges a UK driver may incur – tolls, MOT, vehicle tax & city congestion charges (e.g. London Congestion Charge & Ultra-Low Emission Zone, Birmingham Clean Air Zone) – are all handled with a few swipes (the plan is to add booking & paying for parking & EV charging). It’s worth mentioning here, that Caura is also available as an in-car system & (non-exclusively) partners with Jaguar Land Rover to be included in their infotainment.
